ME: Blending?
NICK: It’s a melange.
ME: Is that what you got from your cultural-studies degree? ‘Melange‘?
NICK: No. I got that from Dune.

Huh, and all I got from Dune was “Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Shai Halud”.

You’re one up on me: all I got from Dune is “Man, is this book dull.” Also something about religious prostitutes.

That was more from the movie. I read the book during my Summer backpacking around Europe and I don’t remember much about it – except protracted explanations of Muad’Dib.

I’m sure there were religious prostitutes, though. Then again, there was a time (either a simpler time or a more complicated time, I’m not sure now) when pretty much every fantasy novel ever published had religious prostitutes in it.
