Okay, I Know I Promised Not To Post Any More Lizard Pictures . . .

But I have to ask people’s opinions.
Is it my imagination, or is this lizard actually eyeing me with contempt?
I know lizards are enigmatic creatures, but there’s just something in this one’s eye that says, “You? You are so not worth moving for.”
I suppose spending your days lying around in the sun pretending to be a dragon would generate a certain arrogance.

i think there’s definitely some contempt in that eye

There is, isn’t there?
Damn.
I don’t know why, but being eyed contemptuously by a lizard is dragging my whole day down. I don’t want to spend the evening thinking, “But why!? Why doesn’t the lizard think I’m cool?”

Yes, I agree, it’s as if the lizard is saying ‘There’s that crazy girl with her super-macro lens again’. Still, it is a very good looking lizard. A lovely shot.

Nice to see you here, Kirsty!
And that’s an idea: maybe it’s less contempt and more the sublime arrogance of the beautiful. As though the lizard is thinking, “But naturally you would wish to take more photographs of me and post them on the Internet. Who wouldn’t?”
