Monty’s a beautiful dog. He’s also deeply neurotic (he had a panic attack when we played a family trivia game, because we were all laughing), he’s a foot fetishist, and he once dislocated our nineteen-year-old, blind, deaf poodle’s leg, because the poodle accidentally climbed into Monty’s basket.
But he is beautiful.
Oh, and he’s not dead in that first photo. I know he looks dead, but he’s not. Promise.
I was very disturbed by that first photo. I was sure it was a photo of a dead dog. I felt betrayed. But I’m OK now – the overall cuteness took the shock away.
