No Updates Today

No real updates, anyway.
I’ve been sitting in this chair marking exams for seven hours, and I can’t feel anything below my ribcage. Or, for that matter, from my right shoulder down.
It would probably be a matter for Occupational Health and Safety, if I weren’t working at home.
And I don’t think I’m even halfway through the exams.
So, much as I would like to write another ranty post about inappropriate gender politics in television advertising and in 1970s’ reprints of Victorian novels, that’s going to have to wait.

You should be taking regular breaks. Don’t make me send the OH&S boys around!

Not the heavies!
I do take breaks (cigarette breaks, mostly. It’s the one advantage to be a smoker).
But the problem is the timeframe: these are quite time-consuming, although I only have seventy as it turns out, and they have to be finished by Monday, to give me time to finalise the grades. And I have to finalise the second years’ grades, as well.
But mostly it’s the chair. I really do need to buy a decent desk chair.
